Viktoria Wendel Skousen

Lives and works in Copenhagen and holds a MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Visual Arts and Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien.

Relationships are the crucial concern in VWS’s praxis.
Her work shifts between questioning structural issues within the art world and manifesting private experiences. Changing roles with her male colleagues, creating plants bigger than humans or otherwise making intimacy and poetry play the role of politics.
She works in several different medias including photography, printmaking, textile, text and performance.

In 2013 she founded the internet-based art magazine and archive for artistic writing, Texted.
